Documentation / Event Reference
PROPOSED API
API specification — not a released addon. SkCine-specific syntax shown here is proposed and must be implemented and server-tested before use.

Event Reference

API status — PROPOSED, NOT IMPLEMENTED. SkCine is currently a design specification in this conversation; no built SkCine.jar or syntax registry was supplied. All SkCine-specific examples are intended API contracts, not verified runnable .sk. Do not advertise these as tested until each example passes a real Skript reload and runtime test.

Every event must be emitted on a safe Skript-compatible thread, with registered event values, correct parse-time contexts, one-time emission and documented cancellation semantics. Do not use event-player for an audience-wide event unless the implementation explicitly dispatches one event per player.

Proposed events

ID Event Available event values (proposed) Semantics
SKC-132 on cine scene start scene, instance, audience After readiness and state ownership established
SKC-133 on cine scene finish scene, instance, player(s) Normal completion, once per runtime instance
SKC-134 on cine scene cancel scene, instance, reason, player(s) Cancellation and restoration, reason enum
SKC-135 on cine scene skip scene, instance, player Explicit skip action; do not double grant
SKC-136 on cine scene pause scene, instance Pause transition only
SKC-137 on cine scene resume scene, instance Resume transition only
SKC-138 on cine scene failure scene, instance, reason Fault handling after cleanup attempt
SKC-139 on cine scene marker scene, instance, marker Timeline one-shot markers
SKC-140 on cine timeline loop scene, instance, loop-index At completed loop boundary
SKC-141 on cine camera transition scene, instance, camera Camera rig transition entered
SKC-142 on cine actor spawn scene, instance, actor Owned actor successfully created
SKC-143 on cine actor remove scene, instance, actor Owned actor cleaned up
SKC-144 on cine dialogue start scene, instance, dialogue, player Line display began
SKC-145 on cine dialogue finish scene, instance, dialogue, player Line finished or advanced
SKC-146 on cine choice scene, instance, choice-id, player Validated player selection
SKC-147 on cine choice timeout scene, instance, player No selection before deadline
SKC-148 on cine scene checkpoint scene, instance, checkpoint Checkpoint reached
SKC-149 on cine player restored scene, instance, player Ownership-aware restoration completed

Example: safely react to a scene marker

on cine scene marker:
    if event-cine-marker is "doors-open":
        broadcast "The cinematic gates opened!"

Event values proposed for registration

event-cine-scene, event-cine-instance, event-cine-marker, event-cine-actor, event-cine-camera, event-cine-choice-id, event-cine-dialogue, event-cine-reason, event-player (only where valid). Actual registration names must be tested and recorded.

Cancellation contract

Gameplay events may be non-cancellable by design. Scene cancellation itself is controlled via effects and policy; Skript cancel event must never be advertised without an actual cancellable event implementation.
