Documentation / Compatibility Matrix
PROPOSED API
API specification — not a released addon. SkCine-specific syntax shown here is proposed and must be implemented and server-tested before use.

Compatibility Matrix

API status — PROPOSED, NOT IMPLEMENTED. SkCine is currently a design specification in this conversation; no built SkCine.jar or syntax registry was supplied. All SkCine-specific examples are intended API contracts, not verified runnable .sk. Do not advertise these as tested until each example passes a real Skript reload and runtime test.

Upstream, documented release ranges

Skript release Paper compatibility declared by publisher SkCine status
Skript 2.16.2 1.21.4–26.2 Intended support; unverified
Skript 2.17.0 1.21.5–26.3 Intended support; unverified
Earlier compatible Skript For earlier Paper 1.21.x Needs separate SkCine API adapter/tests

Do not conflate Skript supports Paper X with SkCine has been tested on Paper X. Paper 1.21.11 with Skript 2.16.x is SkCine's primary required acceptance test.

Planned feature gating

Capability Suggested fallback
Custom camera packet Spectator camera entity, if verified safe; else reject
Display interpolation Paper Display API if supported; else tracked per-tick updates
Client-only actor World entity where appropriate; else reject
Resource-pack overlay Native title/effect approximation
Arbitrary postprocessing Not supported in vanilla clients
Older Skript custom section Imperative effects/expressions

Runtime support policy

On plugin startup, print a capability snapshot including exact Paper, Skript, JVM, PacketEvents versions and resolved camera backend. Unknown future versions should be flagged experimental, not silently declared supported.
